Sylvia, please clarify that James P Clark is not the same James Clark who wrote the Expat XML parser and helped design and implemented many XML standards, and gave them away as open source software.

I don't give a rat's ass about the Jim "Netscape" Clark who founded SGI and Netscape -- that's ancient history.

But James "XML" Clark actually helped designed the standards and wrote much of the important open source software that's the backbone of the Internet, which other Clarks like Jim "Netscape" Clark and James "Scam Conference" Clark made their fortunes off of.

I recently posted an article about the real James "fucking genius" Clark's work on Relax NG: http://www.donhopkins.com/drupal/node/115

Here's his bio: http://www.jclark.com/bio.htm

Acccept no immitations. He's the authentic James Clark who's worth listening to, and deserves his own conference. Here's my favorite interview, "A Triumph of Simplicity: James Clark on Markup Languages and XML. DDJ Interviews James Clark": http://www.ddj.com/documents/s=862/ddj0107e/
